Details
This year has been a very exciting one in regards to space and space related industry and research, especially with the sector receiving
widespread attention at the public and government levels due to the formation of the Australian Space Agency mid year. As a joint initiative
of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) and of the Western Australian Information Technology and
Telecommunications Alliance (WAITTA), we are holding one more Space Industry Forum to help maintain the profile of, and broaden awareness
of, the sector, and to help celebrate the terrific year we’ve had.
The format will be a series of brief ten minutes presentations from research and industry leaders, from 3pm to 5:30pm, followed by social / networking drinks and finger food until nominally 6:30pm.
A broad range of industry and academic parties are encouraged to attend, including industry leaders, researchers and research leaders, end users of space related technologies in private industry and from within the public sector, and interested students. As you look through the speaker list and topics, you may recognise some or perhaps most of the material, but we’re sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised to learn something further, and to broaden your knowledge and networks at the event. The feedback from our last session highlighted the importance of holding these broad cross-sectional functions to increase wider awareness of the incredible work being done here in Western Australia.
