The votes are in for the 2019 WAITTA Committee election. Below is a message from the newly elected chair of WAITTA, Andrea Dearden:
I am privileged to be elected as Chair for WAITTA and acknowledge the good work that has been done by our committed volunteers and sponsors to bring the organisation to where it is today.
We have some exciting times ahead of us as we work together with industry to encourage ICT innovation across multiple sectors.
I’m particularly passionate about Assistive Technology and promoting inclusion in our community and would love to see this space open up through Gamification, Artificial Intelligence and back office solutions.
Technology is moving at a fast pace from autonomous vehicles to machine learning. That said, industry will need to manage change to ensure we maintain a role for human kind in the future, a topic which is close to our very own Alliance Chair, Gregg Boalch in his article ‘The Waves’ (#thewaves) https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/thewaves-gregg-boalch
