ROL is an electronic lodgement and payment system that allows our customers to better meet their obligations by providing:
An alternative payment process;
An information source; and
The convenience of electronic communications.
Since its introduction, some 93% or nearly 10,200 pay-roll taxpayers have registered on the ROL facility, making it the predominant service channel for pay-roll tax interactions with the OSR. Over the 12 months to August 2007, associated payments received electronically totalled over AU$1.2 billion and continue to grow, especially through the use of EFT.
In addition to the benefits enjoyed by our customers, electronic processing of wage details and payments reduces our own administrative and postage costs by negating the need for handling, completing and returning paper returns.
The use of the ROL platform continues to grow with the introduction of Online Insurance Duty and Online Stamp Duty. |
