The teaching of Computer Science at Curtin University has a history reaching back to the establishment of the Western Australian Institution of Technology in 1967. The Department of Computing is active in research and has a full graduate program. Areas of research include: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Graphics, Parallel and Distributed computing, Software Engineering and Database Management.
