Balconi is a WA owned and operated company and has focused on the specific needs of the WA Oil and Gas market. Connectivity on vessels is paramount for the normal core business operation but increasingly the needs of staff are also considered a high priority.
Our existing customers have always asked if there was another way to connect voice and internet without the large costs of Satellite delivery. In the case of the smaller rig support vessels Satellite broadband units will not fit on the vessel.
High power amplifiers are illegal but do give extended range but at the cost of other users on the network. The Balconi CDMA Tracker system is network friendly and will not reduce the network capacity which affects other users and it increases the operational range of the network.
Balconi Engineers have spend 2 years developing the system which we feel will offer the market what it want and also keep the Carrier happy.
